Senator Charlie Janssen represents Fremont, Nebraska in the Nebraska unicameral legislature. Janssen was elected in 2008 to represent the 15th Nebraska legislative district replacing his uncle, Ray Janssen of Nickerson. He currently sits on the Government, Military and Veterans Affairs, Intergovernmental Cooperation, and Transportation and Telecommunications committees.
A graduate of Logan View High School and Wayne State College (B.S.), 1997, he is Chairman and CEO, RTG Medical.
A former search and rescue swimmer, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1993. His community affiliations include: member: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church; Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce; board of directors, Fremont Area United Way; board of directors, Greater Fremont Development Council; Fremont City Council; senior vice-commander, VFW; former member: Fremont Veterans Club (president)
He is married to the former Ellen Fauss, and has two children, Charlie, Jr. and Betsy Anne.
